Historical research was carried out in order to compile sufficient documentation as is necessary when carrying our interventions on industrial heritage structures. Different sources of information including archive drawings, old photographs and site assessment of features were all necessary in understanding the performance of the structure and various developments over the c.90 year period since its construction.
